The Server Edition of the operating system has also incorporated some major advances in the form of Wiki Server3: web hosting, Web Dav File Sharing and Profile Manager. On the front end of the operating system, some modifications have been done in the form of a completely redesigned interface, flexible window sizing, changed metal finish. All of these new features make work on Lion OS a very pleasant experience.
Distribution of Mac OS X Lion has been kept very unique by Apple. There is no disk download available for the operating system. Either the customer has to buy the download from Mac App Store for $29.99 or they can get the USB flash disk for $69. The Server Edition can be bought for $49.99 plus the cost of the basic operating system depending on the customer’s preferences.
Mac OS X Lion supports almost all Intel processors from Core 2 Duo to i7 and Xeon processor for the servers too. A minimum of 2GB of DDR2 RAM, Mac OS 10.6.6 and 7 GB of hard disk space is required for the installation.
