I think tonight was an excellent night to kick off summer season of Keith’s Comics Movie Nights. We all gathered to see Iron Man at the new Studio Movie Grill on Central Expressway in Dallas. Wow. That’s all I can possibly say!

I not going to get into the details of the flick because, as I’ve said before, I’m not here to provide movie reviews. Maybe someday down the line, but today is not someday. I will say, however, that it is, without a doubt, the best movie that Marvel has ever put out. Not only was it an excellent adaptaion, but just an overall phenomenal film! And you couldn’t cast a more perfect actor for the dichotemous role Iron Man/Tony Stark than Robert Downey Jr. And for those of you who hate the man (I’m lookin’ at you, Joshua) because of his colourful past, try reading an Iron Man book before seeing the movie. This man has been preparing for this role for his entire life!

Wow, that sounded dangerously close to being a poor-man’s review. I’ll change subjects.

Also joining us for this amazing event was Fat Momma from SCI-FI’s Who Wants To Be A Super Hero? She was there taking pictures, signing autographs and all the normal personality things at events such as this. I didn’t get a chance to meet with her, but I did spend a few minutes with Brian Denham!

For those of you playing the home version, Brian Denham is a local comic artist who’s probably best known for his work on The Darkness and Iron Man: Hypervelocity. I recommend checking out his stuff as soon as possible! I haven’t had a chance to go through HV just yet, but the artwork alone was enough for me to want to buy it! What can I say? I’m a simple guy and it was shiny. You can link to Brian at www.BrianDenham.com as well as www.myspace.com/briandenham.

In real news (that’s anything to do with me), I have a new webcomic update schedule starting on Monday. Updates will now happen 6 days a week! Ted & Zed will update on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday & DEATH BY BUNNY will update on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Nothing new on Sundays as that will be my time to recuperate. While life is starting to get back to some semblance of normalcy, it’s still extremely hectic. You can expect a new Mac’s Life in the next few weeks or so. Once things start to calm down I’ll be able to adjust my schedule a bit to allow for more regular ML updates. I swear it’ll get better! It’s my life! How boring can it be, right? You should also keep your peepers peeled for a new comic coming out around the middle of June. The characters should be familiar to you all but I’ve made major changes and made this a webcomic of my own. I really hope I don’t get sued over it. Hopefully the Big Boys have enough money and things to do with it that they don’t need to waste it on a lawsuit against a li’l guy who won’t make a penny off of them.

Wow, so this has gone on long enough. I’ll actually have more to say tonight. I have a full day ahead of me and will actually be posting an old (but new to you) DEATH BY BUNNY. Remember C.J.? Yeah, I’ll be posting his death later today. The next two weeks of DBB will be remakes of the first 5 episodes. I’ll be leaving the old ones up, but just adding the updated versions. If you haven’t seen them yet, you should go back and see the progression. Crazy stuff.

Don’t forget that tomorrow is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! You should really think about going to your local shop to score some free books. Especially if you live in the D/FW metroplex. You really want to find your way to Keith’s Comics. That’s it. Goodnight.
